Amazing Sunday

Hi Guys, I have just come from an amazing Sunday Service. The preacher was so funny but at the same time imparting a really serious message about `putting your house in order `cos you are going to die!` I know serious topic but put it across in a really accessible way. Now that wasn`t the amazing thing!! - We had a visiting choir (yes pamala I am sorting out music for you!) and they were singing a happy clappy number -- we will sing/clap/stomp for Jesus and we had to do the actions. Well we then had to dance for Jesus and the three vicars got up, they were dressed in full robes and started bogeying on down in front of the altar -- they were really going for it too --imagine Graham and Andrew doing that!!! - perhaps we should throw it up as a red nose day challenge or something!!!! Honestly it was amazing - just had to share it with you.

Yesterday, our five visitors arrived and I was chaperoning them around. Also, in Uganda it was National Womens Day -- a national holiday -- and there was a lot of events at school - it is a really big thing here and everyone seemed to enjoy it. The kids got a disco at the end of the day, which they loved. We were also visited by a voluntary team of eye specialists and they give free check up and glasses (totalise - it think they were called). They managed to see 90 people in one day between 3 of them, which  I think is amazing.

In the evening, all the visitors and school head etc and me went to the Two friends pizza house -- boy it was good -- cheese!!!!! I was so happy afterwards I couldn`t speak . Godfrey gave a speech and said to me do you want to say anything and I said "I love cheese!!" thank you  - I couldn`t stop smiling for the rest of the evening.( you cant get cheese - proper cheese in the supermarkets in Uganda only plastic stuff so getting the really mccoy was wonderful!!)

Sunday afternoon, we went to the Source of the Nile again and this time there was dancing -- I love the african music and the dancers. I can`t get over how they move.

Hope you are not suffering too much with the weather. Hugs to all

Janice

John - thank you so much for all you messages and support - I do appreciate it greatly  x x

Pamela - "what are you like!!!"

Christina - This is Saint Theresa`s Prayer -

May today there be peace within, May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be, May you not forget the infinate possibilities that are born of faith, May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you, May you be content knowing you are a child of God. Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and everyone of us.
