Where in the world is Susie?
15th Aug 2008
Mali, West Africa

Hello friends!

After many days on varoius forms of transport, Phoebe, Jeff, and I made to Mali! My guidebook calls Mali the jewel in West Africa`s crown, and that sems true. We are currently in Mopti, which is located in the Niger River on the way to Timbuktu. We just spent a few days trekking through the Dogon Country. The Dogon Country is located in and around the huge Falaise de Bandiagara. The Dogon people have built their villages onto, below, and even into the cliffs. I really loved meeting the Dogon people, especially the children, and having a glimpse into their culture. It was and amazing experience.

Love,

Susie
