The 13th...well unlucky for us we have to leave the US today and leave behind us our backpacking days. It took about 2 hours and we managed to pack all our remaining gear and our newly acquired gifts and gadgets that we have bought over the last few weeks into the bags that we had.

Allie and Tim took us to the local bagel place for lunch and then we had our last look at the US by going to the seat of learning otherwise known as Harvard. Walking through the red brick campus I was hoping to soak up some IQ which should help me on my way when I have to start using my brains again at work in 3 weeks!

Term for the year has just started so campus is pretty busy  - previous students coming back to sell on their old furniture to the new starters! Its now nearly 2pm and we have to go back and collect our bags and make our way to the airport...

We have had great hosts  (thanks sooooo much Allie and Tim!) who have been brilliant and who have made our last week and a bit a real treat. Its nice to know that we finished on a high :-) . After our last glimpses of downtown Boston on the way to Logan airport we saw the crowds milling out of Fenway park after an afternoon baseball game.

The drive to the airport didn`t take too long and before we knew it we were having to say ta ta to US and our mates and we were off to catch our flight back to London. Its all a bit scary to take in as we have been away for so long, every time we take a flight its to a new place for another adventure. This time thought, the flight is taking us back to the realities of our lives in the UK....I wonder how thats gonna turn out!
