BA all the way baby... Allie and Tim dropped us off at Boston Logan airport and it was a breeze at check in for the BA flight home. Its the end of an era for us today and the end of our year long trip and we both had mixed feelings as we clutched our boarding passes as we made our way through security. Boston Logan airport served us well and we had our last taste of American fare and its probably just as well as my trousers are getting a bit too tight after the huge portion sizes we have encountered over recent weeks. Big portions and my weak discipline when it comes to food don`t really mix!! We got onto our flight at about 5.30pm and we touched off the gate at 6pm and we had to wave ta ra to the States and it was a bit emotional. Three bottles of wine (well they were only the small ones) and a dose of the Sex and the City movie I was over emotional and blubbing like a kid who had lost his sweets... Since it was only just under 6 hours to fly to London we didn`t have long to grab any shut eye and it seemed pointless. By the time they had served our tea, done the duty free rounds, they had our full english on the go for breakfast. So for us it was only about midnight but we had had our dinner and brekkie within 3 hours of each other...talk about confusing!! Bleary eyed and probably a bit tipsy we got off the flight at Heathrow at 5.15am and the weather wasn`t as bad as I expected...but we aren`t hoping for great things after the wettest year ever!! Back on English soil for the first time in 11 and a bit months...its all a bit weird!
