Yesterday we "met" the parents of Mick and probably talked gibberish to them in our half comatosed "lack of sleep" state...today was the turn of my folks. Driving up to Geordieland was another weird experience...nothing has changed...although I don`t know why expected it would!!

Seeing my parents was really great and it is the longest time in my whole life that I haven`t seen my Mum and Dad in the flesh. Even in this day and age of blogs, skype, webcams and mobile phones...nothing beats a nice hug from your Mum and Dad! Tissues please...

After a nice home cooked meal (we had an equally fantastic one last night at Pat and Steves I have to add!) we had the opportunity to rifle through the boxes that we sent home from the various countries visited. All but one box has returned and chances are we won`t see it ever again!

Its been a rollercoaster couple of days what with a change of continent, the end of our trip and seeing all our loved ones after such a long time...its a lot to take in over a short time!
