Finally! Cheese in Asia

Kindy Halloween

So I`ve been working at my kindergarten for about a year now, and I`ve really started to love some of the kids. My favourites are the brand new 3 year olds. We have some students in the baby class who are 2 years old, but by the time they come to my class at the age of 3, they`re already jaded, entrenched in cliques and are bored of school. My new 3 year olds have spent and extra year at home being well... kids. they haven`t been foced into the competetive, high stress Taiwanese school system when some western kids are still breast feeding and in diapers. This extra year at home really makes a difference. My kids are happy, well adjusted and faster learners.

Halloween is a strange hybrid in Taiwan. There isn`t really any trick or treating here, but the high-end kindergartens (like mine) are so in touch with western culture that Halloween is a big event at my school. Check out the picts below. These are my favourite kids, they`re all between the ages of 3 and 5 and they make me laugh daily. I even miss them when I`m on vacation...
