Holiday Clubs

OK, so after the first two weeks of Holiday Club i can safely say that my prediction of its madness was correct. The two weeks we`ve just had couldnt really have been more different: the first one was in Duran, a small mision where we had about 30 kids max and were left pretty much to our own devices in a very small church room. Senderos de Fe is a pretty big church, we had loads of helpers to do puppets, refreshments etc, and had up to 150 kids each day. (My little group alone had more than the number of kids in the entire Holiday Club in Duran!)

But we`re loving it. The kids are so lovely and really have fun with what we`re doing. The girls in particular often start off the week really quiet and nervous but get a lot more into it towards the end, which is really good to see! The helpers that the church provides are an absolute blessing too, we`ve met so many awesome people already! Its kind of sad that we only have a week with each church, but surprising how much of a friendship you can build in that time.

Tomorrow evening we travel up to Quito, the Capital, for a week, and from there we go to the jungle (holiday clubs in both places) so we`re back in Guayaquil on the 28th of Feb, i think, for 4 more holiday clubs before we go.
Please pray for health for the team, flexibility (!!!) and that we`d really achieve something with the Clubs, even if we dont get to see it.
Thanks!
