Well I message you with mixed news and emotions.
The last few weeks have be a test to both my character and motivation for my travels.
I was informed about 10 days ago that my marathon scheduled in Santiago in Chile for 22nd March was cancelled. This was to be the final continent and where I was to finally break the world record. However due to this and financial considerations I have had to think long and hard as to whether I will continue to try for the record.

After some time contemplating and some time spent talking to my friends I have decided to run in Sao Paulo, Brazil on 31st May which will be my 12th and last marathon of the tour and will hopefully secure the last continent for the record.

To more exciting news...I'm off to Antarctica on Tuesday which promises to be not only a trip of a lifetime to one of the remotest places in the world, but also a challenge of a lifetime to complete 26.2 miles on Antarctica. I have been looking forward to thsis trip for a long time, and indeed when I started the planning of the challenge was unsure as to if I would get a place on this trip.

I am however, naturally pretty scared about this next leg of my travels, as it presents the highest hurdle which I must overcome and the potential to not succeed is constantly in my mind.
