Sand is almost gone.... Time is warping majorly now! I can`t properly explain it, but it seems to be going both unbearably slowly and scarily fast at the same time. I can`t wait to see people from home again (family, Hamils, Amy and everyone else) but I know that when I`m seeing them, it`ll mean im not in Ecuador, and that its finished. I hate missing places because theres never anything you can DO, you just feel hopeless. But thats all part of it I guess, and I`d rather have that then never have had Ecuador at all. So there`s..... 10 days left now. The plan for that time is to: On Friday, we are going to Manglaralto on a Campamento (Christian Camp) until Sunday morning with the church that we have been helping over the last couple of weeks (La Flor is a daughter church of theirs). The camp is on the beach and is an AMAZING area, so we`re looking forward to that too! We travel back Sunday afternoon and get back just in time for our Despedida (farewell service) in Los Vergeles. Some of our friends have promised to arrive in suits, so it will be interesting to see if they go through with that! Monday to Friday we will spend trying to fit in the following activities: Shopping for souvenirs, going to the beach (possibly twice... once with the Butchers and once with other friends) going to Malecon and climbing Santa Ana again (see photos), having a barbeque, learning to cook arroz con pollo in Vergeles and packing. Its going to be really hard to leave. We`ve already done it once, before Peru, and that was hard enough! But now we`ve had three more months of building friendships and getting attached to Ecuador, and there`ll be a whole lot MORE people to say goodbye to this time too. We really want to make the most of our last week and a half so we can go back with no regrets. Prepare for us all to be either energetically obsessive or miserable on the topic of Ecuador when we get back! (or a scary mix of both!)
