Days in London

During my trip I had a few days in London, mostly spent making the most of the shops! I also caught up with friends which was great. I had dinner with Sal, Karen and Hanna where we caught up on news and organised some things for the upcoming Brazil trip. I hadn’t seen them since our Central America tour in January – though we had had the odd drunken Skype conversation!

As I had a sunny day I decided to be a tourist and I headed first to St James Park to walk around, eat an ice cream, then stroll past Buckingham Palace, up Constitution Hill to Hyde Park Corner, then by tube to Covent Garden. Then my luck ran out and it began to rain again.

Nishi and I went to the cinema a couple of times (Hangover and The Proposal) and even went to the theatre to see ‘The Mousetrap’ which was great. Incredible to think that this show has been running for about 80 years! We then walked to Piccadilly Circus and got a black cab down to Buckingham Gate where we met up with Ceri and Rishi and Gareth and Laura for dinner which was great. We don’t get to see each other very often so it was nice to hear all their news.

My final day was spent in Ikea and Tescos, doing my final shopping needs – tea lights and baked beans!
