Your probably wondering why it says Cabo Frio & Buzios rather than Salvador? well... Salvador was all booked but my cold became rather worse so instead of catching that plane I went to the hospital to get checked out, they did blood tests and an x-ray of my chest as I was having difficulty breathing and pains but it was confirmed that im ok and it was just a normal flu, so i got some medicine and started to feel better, I was advised though to get help with my stomach problems,  So I will be getting an ultrasound and the camera down my throat to see whats causing my stomach pain and problems, I dont have a date for this yet but I will let you know when.

We mananged to get most of our money back from the Slavador flight so we decided to go to Cabo-Frio and Buzios instead, a place to relax more and we were hoping for some hotter weather...

Cabo Frio ( Cold Cape) is located some 160 km from Río de Janeiro. It is enclosed by the Atlantic Ocean and Araruama Lagoon and Buzios is just 105 miles from Rio de Janeiro, a pleasant 2-hour trip takes you to the peninsula of Búzios, who has more than 20 magnificent beaches!!

On the first day we arrived in the evening so took a walk along the beach and had dinner.  On the second day the weather wasn´t all that great but it was ok to take a trip to Buzios and a boat ride around all the beaches, Zaira went diving and of course I never...after the boat ride we were pretty tired, so we headed back to Cabo Frio, got washed and went out to a traditional place to eat.  It was big!! hence why im putting weight on in this country...On the third day we spent the day in Cabo Frio, we wanted to go for a boat ride there but it rained the whole day...so instead of staying in the hotel we walked in the rain, along the beach, up to the fort and back again...even though it rained it was still beautiful...

Then we left on Saturday and guess what? it was the first day it was hot and sunny there!!! so we stayed a while in the morning at the beach and then made the journey back to Rio, where it was even warmer and sunnier so we unpacked and went out to the Botanic Gardens (jardim botânico), it was very beautiful and a great way to end the afternoon.

Tomorrow I start my Portguese course, wish me luck! I think I´ll need it...
