Christmas Unwrapped in Mtwapa
Hi everyone,
After the success of last year’s Xmas project we are once again, for the third year, running the Mtomondoni Christmas gift project giving you the chance to give Christmas gifts that can really make a difference. Instead of trailing around the shops this year to find a pressie for everyone you know, only for that present to end up in the back of some cupboard, un-used and wasted. Why not send a gift that really does make a whole world of difference to a needy family living in Africa. You may have seen the news footage recently of the problems faced by those living in Kenya and other countries in East Africa at present, as the lack of rains and indeed the credit crunch are really hitting people hard. So this project gives you an opportunity to help.
How does it work? STEP 1: Decide who you would like to buy a very special Christmas present for and then have a look through the list of gifts below and decide what it is you would like to purchase.
STEP 2: Complete the form and return it with your payment by November 30th so that we can ensure the gift gets to the family in time for Christmas. Cheques need to be made out to Mtwapa School Account. Our co-ordinator based in Kenya will then find a suitable family in Mtomondoni to present the gift to a family that is most in need. You will then receive a gift card to give to the person that you have bought the present for detailing who the gift was given to and their situation.
STEP 3: You can then send the gift card knowing that your present this year really has made a difference.
STEP 4: You can then check the website to see the family in Africa receiving the gifts so you really will see exactly where your money has gone. All gifts will be presented to the Kenyan needy families before Christmas day.

We will be sending out letters from the kids in the next day or so therefore we will also include a form in the envelopes for those sposnors receiving letters.
