Trekking and Whale watching in Patagonia!
We´re now in Esquel, Central Patagonia (Argentina) having visited El Bolson, beautiful little place surrounded by mountains. Managed a quick hike here with a lovely couple we met in the hostel, Natalie and Tim. We were incredibly lucky with the weather on that day and the views from the top of the Cerro Piltriquitron were incredible. We then had a whistle stop tour across the country to Puerto Piramides, Valdes Peninsula on the Atlantic coast for a spot of whale watching! At this time of year hundreds of Right whales come in close to shore and nurse their babies in the shallow and sheltered waters of the peninsula. There are so many they can be seen from the shore. After a fantastic couple of days we headed back over to Esquel and after a few days here, we´ll head further down south to El Calafate and El Chalten.
