Mazunte - Agama Yoga, healing and fire ceremony Arrived n Mazunte after two hours of beautiful scenery and thoughts of realising how lucky iam to be able to see such amazing sites every day. Mountain ranges and amazing skies and scenery. Can't really describe the wonder i feel at how amazing it all is. Bus dropped me at the end of the road so got a taxi to the centre of mazunte as was a long way. I arrived at the yoga centre and it was so beautiful, set high up on a cliff surrounded by trees and nature. As i clmbed the steps i met Elisa a lovely girl from Spain who was my host. She looked really serene in her yoga white clothes. She showed me round the place. There were two buildings with open sides and palapa roofs (thatched), one was the kitchen with afew tables and chairs and hammock. The other was higher and on the edge of the cliff, which was the yoga space, the view was spectacular of the sea and the huge crashing waves. I fell in love with the place and felt so lucky to be able to stay here. They did not have a room free but could put the mattress on the open platform by the yoga space on the edge under the stars with a mosquito net. What a glorious experience, so many stars to see. Went to he yoga classes and they were very dynamic sun salutations and asanas like headstands and other stuff i have not been able to do before. Over the week i was there i managed to get much better at the asanas. I exchanged yoga classes for theta healing sessions for Maribel the owner of the centre. Really lovedbeing with Hector, Elisa and Maribel as they were people who were interested in the same things and we could talk on a deeper level. They spoke about microbiotic diet they were on which was to eat yang foods and drinks and make your body more yang which is helpful as more alkaline. So realised that was why i was there as they had info about diet for me which i needed, i was able to help them with belief work with theta. We had fun and went for a day trip to nearest town Potutla, there was a huge storm on the way whilst we were in the back of a cmionetta (pick up truck with two wooden planks on eachside for people to get in the back. Thankfully coveredover with a tarpoling but still it rained in. Not much to do there though so bought some veg and internet time then got camionetta back. There was another couch surfer there too he and his friends were planning on getting a taxi to the beach to do a tour to see turtles on the beach laying eggs so i joined then at the last minute. We got to the beach at dark andhad a guide walk usover the beach and point out turtles, we saw about 6 laying eggs and patting them into the sand and moving on to do a decoy too for any predators to confuse them before returning to the sea. Really cool experience the eggs were like ping pong balls. On sunday there were no classes so we did a colon cleanse together can't recall name sri pranksalana or something. But we had to drink salty water, not as strong as the liver cleanse thankfully. We drank a cup then had to do some yoga exercises to make sure the water goes into the colon and not into the stomach. It took 5 cups before i started but then we were dashing to the loo very often, the point was to keep going until clear water came out. But after 7 cupsi had enough andit was nearly clear so that will do for me.. We had rice and olive oil after wards then a lentil and veg stew for dinner and an early night. We were exhausted afterwards. I offered to show them how to do a fire ceremony to burn and release beliefs they ..no longer require and other things. Big letting go! Then they mentioned we should invite the others and it snowballed into being 10 people, i was rather nervous and not really wanting to do it. Fears of leading it and then fears of being centre of attention and not really knowing what i was doing. But i do although i did not have the tools with me at the time. i decided it was time to push myself through the fear and the comfort zone again and do the best that i could. My intent is for the highest good of everyone and there is no reason why i cannot host a fire ceremony for them. So began planning it and found what i needed. Luckily on the evening some people could not make it so only me, Maribel, Elisa, Hector, Ariana and two others so 7 people, perfect number too. We had a great ceremony andi listened to my instincts and really loved it. We made cakes and oat cookies with hot chocolate afterwards. yummy! Really loved it and my time there. When i left it was very emotional and Maribel and Elisa had become my sisters so close in a short time. They told me should i return there would always be a home for me there and i could offer therapies to the students at a reasonable price. So who knows i may come back to see these beautiful people. Really interested in looking up Agama in Thailand for more training. Elisa taught me how to make Humous, lentil stew and carrot cake. Will really miss these people as they re really close to my heart. Look forward to our paths crossing again. I ask people for book requests and Maribel gave me lots of good ones and some on tantra too which i would like to know more about.
