Journey 2 da opposite TimeZone
2nd Jun 2005 - 5th Jun 2005
Washington DC

Capital of USA is NOT New York, its Washington DC...hehe..DC = District of Columbia...
Spent 4 days there...
The whole city is an architecture galore...lots of big old magnificient buildings...Library of Congress, all the courthouses in Judiciary District, museums, castles, homes of famous ppl...
The US Capitol is very grand...the dome shape building...more fancy than the image of sky scaper parliments that we are used to...saw the White House from afarrrr...since 9/11, no tour anymore into the White House...
Went to George Washintong`s estate at Mt Vernon...lots of school groups visiting...there`s lots of memorials in WDC..Korean War memorial, WW2 memorial, Thomas Jefferson memorial..basically, every war & every president that they have, have some sort of memorial in the city...can be a park, a big building, a square, a sculpture, etcetc...
Flying home tomorrow night!!!
