BW: The Party Is Over
in July 2007, I quit my job, bought an around the world ticket and set off in search of the perfect Pimm's Cup, the prettiest older women, the true land of the free, the best beach, a place to live, a place to die, a place to have my ashes scattered, a wife or two, a good night's sleep, and great food and wine on the cheap. I'm back now, having found some of what I was looking for, but not all of it. I'm pretty sure I've written the last interesting thing you will read on here, and that nothing but massive bitching is all I have left. This is an unedited account of my travels, warts and all, generally written late at night under the influence of copious amounts of vino tinto. Read at your own risk, knowing that it wlll make more sense if you read the days as they happen, rather than working backwards.

Steamboat things
I hopped off of the emotional roller coaster of returning home after four and a half months and hopped on a snowboard. That was Sunday, five days ago. I was nervous as hell. It had been two years. I’m in the w...

Back home, sit down and patch my bones.
At first, coming home is not as bad as you thought it would be. At first. You get off of the plane, numb, tired. It’s before noon, and no big deal and the weather in your hometown is wonderful and you start t...
