Education is Light
 The Mtomondoni Education Sponsorship Programme is based in Africa. Currently there are 42 children that are sponsored to go to school at Mtwapa Academy in Kenya. These children form the programmes "family" of children that have their needs fulfilled by the programme. The children have their school fees paid for, recieve all their uniform and school equipment, get one good meal a day and healthcare setting them up on the path to achieve their dreams.
The newest development for the programme is a student exchange. This development means that as the sponsored children reach standard 7 and 8 they are invited to England to experience life at John Cleveland College, leicestershire, England, the first visit happened in July 2008. The next trip is planned for Summer 2009 and following on from this there are plans afoot to introduce a new school to the link project Babington Community College, Leicester.
Sponsors are encouraged to fully communicate with the child they sponsor, sending letters and parcels and if they wish to visit Kenya then we can arrange for sponsors to meet up with the child they sponsor.
