Whatever Next??
Hi, I'm James, and this is life on the road: the long version. Even I wouldn't try to get through all of it! In between crashing hot air balloons, being head-butted by cows, interviewing rock stars, getting engaged and strolling around East Asian beaches covered in oddly tinged mud (see left!) I make sure I find at least half an hour a week to write down my thoughts on it all. When I'm old and senile, I want to be able to look back and remember the chaotic beauty of the cultures I've enjoyed. So why all the travelling? Well, the cliche about itchy feet could have been written for me. I've met a lot of people who say they're travelling to work out what they want from life. I travel because it is what I want from life, and in English teaching and a developing travel-writing portfolio, I seem to have stumbled across a way to support it. The thought of sitting in an office is unthinkable to me. Who knows, someday I might settle down and 'do something proper' (excuse the inverted commas, I've been known to make more English teaching than plenty of people make doing 'real jobs', which amuses me no end!), but for now I'm going to enjoy the ride. You're welcome to join me! James (Link to my Writing Site: http://hendicottwriting.com)
