Never too Old!
On 31 Dec 06, at 53 years of age, I was made redundant. Prior to that, I had worked for over twenty two years without taking any long service leave, and only three or four times taking a holiday longer than two weeks. So in effect I am taking my long service leave now in 2007, and spending 5 months travelling the world. This is my adventure. My second adventure began in 2008 when I enrolled as a full-time student at University of Sunshine Coast to do a Bachelor of Communication Degree. After a month in Phuket, Thailand, gaining some hand-on experience at electronic publishing - see http://www.magicbrochures.com/ - I'll be heading off to USA on student exchange to University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming. Who knows where this adventure will end.

Snow whitened the world of UW and Laramie again on Wednesday and temperatures dropped to at least -26ºC. I think that was what it was close to when I walked back to the dorm after my final 6-9pm class for Envir...

A cultural week
It was still overcast and snowing sightly on Sunday morning and the streets were still icy and snowy so I thought Kony’s proposed expedition to Torrington would be off, but no, he had more optimism than I. F...
