Thai Beaches!

Had a very comfy overnight bus journey to Chumpon and got on our high speed catamaran to koh phagnan! We both fell straight asleep again awoken occasionally by the thunderstorm! Arrived at koh phagnan and thankfully the storm Had stopped! Did some searching along ban tai beach and found some accommodation! It was a wooden shack with a toilet you had to flush yourself but was on the beach so we didn't mind! For two days we hired a scooter and explored the island visiting all the beaches. The next 3 days we chilled out, sneakily using another resorts pool :) most mights we were kept awake by scratching in the walls and insect noises-eeek!! on the 6th it was time for full moon party! We had tea and started on the vodka and paints! Completely covered ourselves so much so that when we arrived at the full moon party beach a few people asked us if we had fallen into a bucket of paint :) the party was amazing, 20,000 people all partying on the beach! Lots of drunk people though! Went for a visit up magic mountain which was cool! Think we got to bed about 5am! Up at 10 to check out feeling very rough! Got to the pier and got a boat to koh tao! Decided to book the cheaper boat and wished we hadn't! the journey was awful! Sweaty and long an we felt very poorly! Eventually arrived in koh tao after 3 hours of sweating! Found our guesthouse and checked in! Went to the beach to have a look around before getting showered and changed! Went to a auzzie bar called choppers (great recommendation, thanks John) where we stuffed our faces with western food And watched football :) the next day was Paulies birthday! His birthday presents were a snorkel and sweets :) spent the day relaxing on the beach and eating yummy food! Watched the rest of the premiership games that night whilst playing pool! The next 4 days we spent our time alternating between the pool and the beach and eating lots of lovely thai food! Its a hard life!!! On the 13th it was time to leave as our visa expired on the 14th! The journey was doomed from the start. The 13th was songkran- thai new year which they celebrate by throwing water and paint  over everyone. Would of loved it if we hadn't of been leaving! Unfortunately whilst getting to the pier we got drenched!! Everyone soaked us and our backpacks! My iPod couldn't handle it and died :( our lift was late arriving so we were late getting to the pier, luckily the boat was an hour late! Better journey this time as we sat out on the deck to dry and got the lovely breeze! Made it to the train station in good time, needn't of bothered as the train was 3 hours late!! It eventually turned up at 12am! Went to our seats, moneys getting tight so we had booked 2nd class fan seats instead of beds- was rough! Managed to get a bit of sleep but kept waking up because the train made lots of very loud noises! Spent the next 16 hours on the train switching trains once on the way down! Eventually arrived at sungai kolok 6 hours late and got a motorbike lift to the boarder! Left thailand with 3 hours to spare on our visa! Just made it! :) Malaysia here we come!

Next: Malaysia and Singapore!!
Previous: Siem Reap and Angkor Wat!
