Lynton & Wendy's Aust trip
13th Jul 2012
A Day Doing Nothing.

Today we were planning on moving on, however after getting up and considering putting the boat in (yet again – we tried yesterday) we thought that perhaps we could consider another launching point. So off we went in search of the illusive boat ramp. After wandering around for about an hour we returned completely disillusioned. No Ramp to be found, so we decided that considering that it getting close to lunch time we would just sit and “Do Nothing” for the afternoon.
The man in the van next to us said to me yesterday that the stretch of river that we were on……….if you’re lucky you might catch a fish about every 3 years. Soooooooooooo let me tell you that after spending a whole afternoon and evening trying I have done NOTHING to prove him wrong.
This evening we decided that since we were experts in using a camp oven, (this is the second time) we would have roast vegies with our chops and sausages. Cooked to perfection, even if I do say so myself. NOT ONLY THAT……….Wendy mixed up a damper WITH sultanas, man!!!! Was that good. Thanks to Wendy’s brother Garry for his knowledge in cooking and to Trish and Linda for the recipe. So now we are considering that with all this expertise we might open up a shop which specialises in nothing but camp oven cooking. I thought maybe in Boronia/Bayswater area, but Wendy thought that seeing there doesn’t appear to be a decent Take – Away here in Onslow, this might be a good place to open shop.
Tomorrow we move on again but not sure just how far.
Todays travels consisted of a whole 20kms.

Next: Going No where
Previous: Moving on From Onslow.
