Many years ago, too many frankly to remember, there was a television game show called Name That Tune. On it, contestants would compete to see who could identify a popular song hearing the fewest possible notes.So, what on earth do you do with all this raw meat? You cook it yourself, of course! Each table at Picnic Garden is outfitted with a grill and vent, and you choose the meats you want and throw them on the grill yourself. Servers will come around to your table and help you turn and cut your meat, but you can wave them off if you prefer to take care of things yourself. Just make sure you practice your chopstick skills before you come because there slow cooker pork belly is not a fork in sight at Picnic Garden. Also, the grills at Picnic Garden are on the small side, so if you have more than 4 people in your party, you'd be wise to split up and sit at two tables, or it will take forever to cook everyone's food. We were only two and we found the grill size perfect for our needs.We didn't know what food we would be eating as the chef, Shannon Bennett, decides the menu on the day. Once we are seated at our table we are asked if anyone has any food allergies or what people will and won't eat. Assaggi is offering a four-course prix-fixe menu on the 14th, priced at $49 per person. Dishes reflect Venetian cooking in such specialties as wine-scented pappardelle with braised octopus ragu, braised veal shanks, liver and onions,and chestnut and marsala soup. Traditional Italian sweets and mini donuts will end the meal.
