It is an interesting place to walk around and some of the restaurants have an interesting take on service too. If you choose one of the very busy cheaper places the service borders on rude as they try to usher you in and out with a no nonsense and no frills service. It is quite an interesting experience and perfect for a quick meal. There are nicer places too for those wanting to take time over a Chinese banquet. Look out for hanging Cantonese slow cooker asian duck in windows which is delicious. Also, making sure all the buckshot is taken out of the meat is not as easy as one might think. The same thing applies to rabbit hunting as well. Using a light salt brine overnight can help with the gaminess of squirrel and rabbits. With either meat, coating it in a flour base with salt, pepper, onion and garlic powders can add a nice flavor to the meats when frying or making stews. For their main plates you can try the magret de canard which is caramelized how to cook duck with a spicy orange sauce, apples foie gras cake and asparagus for $27.00, or the carre d'agneau which is baked rack of lamb flavored with ginger and served with scalloped potatoes for $32.00, or the jarret de veau which is slowly braised osso buco in balsamic vinegar and Madeira and served with parmesan risotto and cremini mushrooms for $39.00.Put a liner in the crock. According to the Reynolds Web site, slow cooker duck liners are made of heat-resistant nylon and designed for easy clean-up. The liner is simply thrown away. But using a liner doesn't get you out of cleaning the crock. Even if you don't see a drip, you should still wash the crock for food safety. When buying duck, be sure to choose a bird with cooking a whole duck on the bbq plump, broad breast and elastic skin. If you buy frozen duck, check that the packaging has no holes that could compromise the quality of the poultry. If your budget allows, get a cake prepared look like a castle with steps leading up to the top. This is a rather tall order (pun intended). Cream sauces, poached mushrooms and wine are wows. Consider Oysters Rockefeller, and a roast beef carving station. For a touch of the country squire, serve crispy roast duck or Cornish game hens, and plenty of champagne.
