I was also scared that when your weight holds it available, it could go away if you are not applying plenty of force. So that you will have to perform some kinda joggling act to keep it in position before you start chinning, also it would disappear right you're done. Not so. It rests fairly securely about the jamb, but an instant upward motion removes it quickly. If you're paranoid, they are available in just a little hook that you wedge between the molding along with the wall that will hold the unit available while you are not chinning.

Two complaints: You can find foam grips (including two perpendicular grips), however wish the whole bar was foamed for the wider variety of grips. If you're serious you'll likely are interested the broad-grip accessory that's sold separately (I haven't yet, to date this can be plenty). Secondly, there's no assembly instructions, just an exploded take a look at what screws go where. There's only 4, so that's trivial, nonetheless they include some locking washers (2 metal, 2 plastic) that are necessary to use, and the diagram does not indicate to utilize these. I've had the doorway Gym for approximately 30 days now and also have been extremely pleased with it. It really does just hold on the contrary the top door. However, the cantilever design will not rest the body weight on the door trim, but up against the door frame both sides from the door frame. You can easily put it up or down in seconds.


Door Gym features a small metal tab that can be inserted between your wall and trim molding quietly opposite in places you do your chin ups. This tab isn't noticeable and produces a safety stop for your top section of the door gym that is certainly pressing up against the the top door. The instructions recommend this if children use the Door Gym, on the other hand set it up even for my use since i have use the same doorway. You do not have to get it, nevertheless it adds a bit preventative measure to insure it certainly can't slip from the trim. Personally i have tried the threshold Gym many times now and also have not seen any wear on my small door and that i feel completely confident with its safety.


You really do need to take notice of the door dimensions they recommend for usage. There are definitely some doors in my house it's not going to work with (too wide, not enough top clearance if you find a very low ceiling above door, etc. )



I really like the push-up feature for deep push-ups on the ground, they're more effective than regular push-ups.
I never have tried it like a sit-up spotter since I don't have a door convenient to the, however it basically can sit on the ground and the long bar normally used for chin-ups locks from the door frame quietly opposite where you stand doing situps.

Received my Door Gym yesterday, had it put all together in about A few minutes, and that i was up and hanging. Also worked well for pushups. With such poor directions, it took a few momemts to understand what bolts comes where, but once Used to do, it absolutely was a cinch.


For those that had difficulties with assembly, or are thinking about buying the Door Gym, here's the deal. The hex head bolts are installed vertically, where the 90 degree bend tubes hook up to the horizontal bar. Use the silver washers with one of these. The rounded bolt heads are the ones accustomed to attach the plastic bar on the two 90 degree bend tubes together within the, and will also be installed horizontally. Use the smaller black washers with one of these. Looking beneath the rounded bolt head, so as to it is four-sided for any short length, and not round. Now, studying the plastic bar with the pad, should you look in the holes where the bolts go, you will see that there is a square opening. The square part of the bolt Needs to be pushed in to the square opening. If it isn't, you'll not contain the length important to securely screw about the cap nut. This is why several people had difficulty with it.


Great product, and can be better still whether or not this had easily understood, and complete directions.
