We stayed at Wilmington Bush camp last night, had power for the heater all night and a shower which i needed, felt good got to wash my hair, was beginning to look like a scarecrow. Went into north end of mount Remarkable first thing this morning, walked Alligator gorge, the gorge part was lovely but didnt like the slow climb back up via a bush trail. Then we drove south to Melrose where supposenly you can go back into Mount Remarkable, was only going to do a small walk called the nature trail that went to a old copper mine, but it was a hard slog up there so we gave up as it didnt even look appealing, just very rocky ground under our feet. We hit the road again and have now come to a free camp at Yunta where we will stay the night. Was starting to rain before but has now stopped although very cloudy and cold. Tomorrow we will cross back into NSW.
