23rd Jul 2012 Shanghai Decided to be proper lazy tourists and get the hop on hop off city sightseeing tour bus, only cost £3! Started at the bund again to see it in daylight, went to the old town where there was some nice markets and bridges, pottered around a bit and bussed it back to peoples place. Decided the Marriott Hotel was where we should've been staying, most beautiful hotel I've ever seen! Met our new leader, Andy, and headed to the Financial Tower, it has the highest observation platform and is the 3rd tallest building in the world. We were up so high! Shanghai looked bloomin amazing all lit up. Andy then took us to a Vietnamese style place for dinner, oh my days the food was amazing. A Jeremy Clarkson look a like who runs the place gave us some traditional wine on the house and me and Andy were the only two who liked it so win win situation. Decided we had so much fun the night before we would do the shop crawl again, this time sitting at the foot of a statue. Felt like a 14 yr old.. Jeremy joined us and we had a big discussion of how he looked like JC but sounded like Bill Nighy. Headed back to the hostel and sat on the roof playing 21s and drinking till the sun came up.
