If you're on the vegan diet, we've got a great collection of recipes here to choose from including nut loaves, curries, tofu dishes, lentils and salads. Since a few of the recipes sounded very good, I thought I'd check out her cookbook. I cannot imagine not having her in my life even though there are thousands of miles between us. If we were together today I'd be keeping her wine glass full and giving her continual cheers” for the outstanding job she did with this cookbook. A self-trained chef and food photographer, Angela Liddon has spent years perfecting the art of plant-based cooking, creating inventive and delightful recipes which may have brought her devoted fans from all around the globe. After fighting an eating disorder for ten years, Angela vowed to change her diet - and her life - once and for all. She traded the low-calorie, processed food she'd been living on for whole, nutrient-packed vegetables, fruits, nuts, whole grains, and more. The result? Her energy soared, she healed her relationship with food, and she got her glow back, both inside and out. I especially love the chia pudding. I make it almost every day! It's out of this world, layered with raspberries! So awesome. But instead of using almond milk, I use a mix of milk and cream. It's as pleasing. I have no idea why. And creamier Kind of a miracle, since most of the vegan food I've encountered has been tasteless and bland. But Angela Liddon could convince me not all vegans are suffering. I can sympathize since I am a proud vegetarian, that, isn't much not the same as a vegan.

I had been very excited to receive this cookbook. For months I've been making my vegan recipes from weblogs and was ready to have my very first vegan cookbook. After browsing it and rereading it many times and after trying a number of recipes in the book, I'd have to state that I'm a bit disappointed. I definitely don't hate it and I haven't had any total disasters, but overall I simply haven't found it inspiring or any of the recipes particularly phenomenal. Having said that, I really liked the soup section, my whole family enjoyed the homemade chocolate date balls, the oil-free chocolate zucchini muffins were scrumptious and I'm hoping to make many more of her recipes in the foreseeable future. However, the apple crumble was okay but I wouldn't serve it to guests; the orange-miso dressing for the soba noodle bowls was gross (and I'm a huge fan of miso); the tofu scramble was not particularly great and I think I'll stick to my own recipe for that one. I might have forgotten the serrano chili pepper but it was still off of the charts delicious. Pull out all your spices before you begin cooking and be sure to prep the onion, ginger, and garlic. As Angela notes, this recipe moves quickly, so getting everything prepped at the start will be a huge help. fats. Smoothies, Juice, and Tea - 11 recipes - probably the biggest disappointment for me in the book; I'm not big on smoothies, juice, or tea...so when I want something like that, I don't desire a recipe to make it. The Oh She Glows Cookbook contains 75 new recipes and 25 updated recipes from the blog. As somebody who can't eat dairy, gluten, or refined sugar, I came across it such a pleasure to undergo this book - not only because I could make almost all of the recipes, but I also appreciated Angela Liddon's sensitivity to food allergies. All of the recipes here are dairy-free and egg-free and the majority of them are gluten-free. Each recipe is clearly marked whether it's gluten-free, refined sugar-free or sugar-free, soy-free, nut-free, grain-free, and/or oil-free. That said, the focus of the book is not on doing without. Rather, it's a celebration of colorful, homemade food that can cause you to feel great.

Modeled on the flaky chicken salad the writer used to take pleasure from in her pre-vegan (pregan!) days, the mashed chickpeas (no skinning required!) give a nice, flaky base for the salad. They were quality, you understand, cigarette, and then you'd the more, the sort of upper class smoking cigarettes that was your menthols which was for folks who really were just playing at it, for the, you understand, they weren't getting a taste of nicotine and things such as that.
