Diary for Yes Oui Si - Ye --> Dui

Yeah, I could spend 7 weeks here quite happily

Hi All,

I`m arrived and settled into the beautiful (read: absolutely stunningly gorgeous) resort at Panorama in the Rocky Mountains. For now, we`re enjoying the mountain and all its attachments, and relaxing / preparing for when the kids arrive on Sunday. Then things`ll get hectic.

For now, I`m in a room in the Pine Inn with the other English teacher, Leanne, and across the hall from the three counsellors / activity leaders, Rod the assistant director, and Rob the director. It`s a great bunch - none of us have done this before, so we`re all feeling our way together, which makes it a lot easier.

I`m afraid I haven`t been making full use of my all-access pass to the resort yet, although we did ride the chairlift up the mountain yesterday and then hike back down. I`ve got big plans to explore the mountain bike trails and paved roads in the area, but my bike was damaged in the flight home from London, so it`s out of commission until I get it back from the shop today. Then I`ll be ripping it up with the others! I think the plan is that we`re heading to Lake Windermere today to go wakeboarding - a delayed getting-to-know-you activity that we had to put off on thursday because of high winds and a thunderstorm. I think I`ve experienced more thunderstorms in the last month than i have in the rest of my years combined!

I`m going to log off now, since I can only pick up the wireless signal at a cafe here, and it`s more expensive than I`d like, but I`ll try to take pictures and get them up when I can.

Take care,

Bev
