Haven't had access for a couple of days
25th- arrived at Mt McKinley the tallest mountain in nth America over 6000m high, stayed at the lodge for a day then moved onto Denali for 2 days, went white water rafting, it was fantastic so far have seen 3 moose 2 caribou no bears yet. Did a bus tour through Denali national park, ate heaps of seafood, drank lots of cocktails very cheap, Left Denali on Saturday morning By train to join our cuise, the train trip took us 10 hrs to get to whittier which is near anchorage, it was breath taking scenery and a bit of fun, windows surrounded us.
Still no sighting of bear. Boarded ship cruised for 2 days and seen whales, lots of glaciers, 2nd day we stopped at glacier bay for a couple of hours, we seen the ice break and fall into the ocean they call this carving of the ice.
We are now in Skagway and have just returned from a helicopter trip to Meade glacier which is over 600 hrs old and 2klm wide 700 ft deep, it was amazing, we were both surprised Don reckons it was like walking on the moon, maybe that's the next trip!!
We don't have any Internet on the boat not sure if we will have any at next port, weather has been fantastic they keep telling us that it is not normally this warm
