The end of an adventure

2011-09-23 to 2011-09-27

We made it! All the way to perth, car an all. Its been a great road trip and I am sad to see the end of it. Despite the hardships of living in a car in the middle of the bush often with no running water and a lack of light, power and fridges it has been worth it. Seen some amazing stuff I would never have gotten to see otherwise and had some great times. But now it is time to enjoy some city life.

Friday we met wayne, very exciting for me as I havent seen him for many months. We chilled in our ghetto hostel which was supposed to be glorious as it was our first bed in weeks but was actually so bad it might have been more fun in the car. To make up for it we went for some dinner and drinks, you have to celelbrate when you have good friends in town! It was pretty exciting for us after weeks of beans on toast to have good food and a beer.

The next night me and shell headed off to mandurah to meet the owner of the house we were due to look after and the dog we are caring for for the next few weeks. You should of seen our faces as we drove around the suburbs filled with huge looking perfect houses and then even more so as we stepped into our new home to look around. The house is amazing, defiantely a step up form the car! We have our own double bedrooms with the most comfortable bed I have had in like forever and a huge TV, kitchen woht everything you need and its only about 1min walk t othe beach.

NOw we do have some jobs to do for the privilage of house sitting. bviously there is the dog to walk and look after. We have to water the plants, bring in the mail and drive the cars round the block every now and then. For this we get to spend the next 5wks living in what to us is definately luxury.

Over the next couple of weeks I am most looking forward to cooking some lovely food, buying stuff i can keep in the fridge, leaving all my toiletires in the bathroom, having an actual bath and sitting on a sofa. Its going to be good times, now if only we can remember to feed the dog!
