So after swapping our Rockness tickets for Download tickets we set off for Castle Donington for a weekend of heavy rock and metal music! Ben's mohawk was sprayed blue and out in its full glory!
We had a great weekend, saw many great bands, our personal highlights were System of a Down (a favourite of mine back in my metal head teenage years), Linkin Park, Puddle of Mudd, Def Leppard, Alice Cooper, Disturbed, Korn, Pendulum and Skunk Anansie! Fantastic music and we were so lucky with our VIP tickets - still not sure how we managed it! The tickets we bought were from a girl who worked for the sponsers so she gave us VIP wristbands for a lower price than regular tickets! We were well chuffed! The VIP field was right next to the main arena and we had loads of space and really clean toilets too! We didn't ever think we would have VIP tickets to a festival so we really enjoyed this experience of space in the campsite!!
Ben had some serious mohawk envy going on; we saw some impressive rainbow coloured mohawks and huge 20inch plus mohawks so Ben was a little jealous!!
A great weekend of rocking out!!!!
