Diary for TRAVELS AROUND THE WORLD

Our 3rd week here staying with the family who have labelled us

2012-05-02

What news have I got now for all you lovely blog readers! Well not much really, we are enjoying our time helping Chris and Katie with their work commitments, Ray bless him is in the yard sorting out plant hire equipment, and finishing off what he started a few weeks ago, remember !! Building a toilet block, it seems we have some sort of affinity with the things, especially as we vetted so many on our travels to see whether they were suitable or not, but hey ho here we are again talking about toilets. I spend my days with Freddie who at 14 months is just adorable and so willing to learn everything, and also into everything which is understandable at that age. But feel so privileged to be here and be a small part of his life, so it is all happy days for us all.

The days here are now becoming very hot, so walks are limited to early mornings, and then again about 4.00pm when it starts to cool a little, but very pleasant for us oldies, the younger ones feel the heat more, maybe it is because we have now got elephants skin due to our travelling in all weathers, or should I dare say just old age skin covering a young at heart Person and that goes for Ray as well mind you.

So it is early rising for us all, then out and about finding lovely little play areas for Freddie, then sheltering from the heat after 11.00am you do not see many people about after this hour, they all appear in the evening like I mentioned to you lovely readers in the last blog [our 2nd week here in Qatar].

I am not going to rabbit on for much longer because the other night we all went to the Quiz night at the Ramada Hotel, well should I just say we did very well and leave it like that, No, I can't pretend we did well, it seems we have suddenly gone brain dead or maybe it has always been that way, but never mind that is just the way I am anyway ha ha !! Hence the label which they called us when we first arrived if you can remember that far back in this blog "The Fockers" so when we are introduced that is what we are called, no more travelling hillbillies or hippies or recycled teenagers, it is plainly THE FOCKERS, all good fun though, I must add.
