Day 20 and we have made it, finally.

After 2074nm we are safe once again, we have actually clocked up 18,000nm so far if you work that out in kilometres it's about 36,000klm we have travelled over oceans...wow.

We actually reached the Island about 3.30am but could not go in till day light, so we just kept Zig Zagging around the place, which was fine if we did not have horrible seas, but we did have them.

It was shocking, actually the last ten days have been rough, but the last four or so was really really bad.

It all come to a head in the early hours of this morning, with neither of us getting any sleep and I went down to try and make some coffee, when the boat surged and I burnt my hand with boiling water, I just cried, The Captain comes running down to save the day just when a wave hit and came pouring through the open side of the hatch, yeah we forgot to close it.
As it was too rough out on deck, he climbs up and tries to close it from inside, yeap another surge he gets thrown down and gets scrapped right down his arm, but no he did not cry, I would have it was nasty.

So we have not gone ashore yet, we had a guy from another boat who helped us into the entrance by the radio, man we sure are sporting more grey hairs, he then came aboard and told us all about the ins and outs, of the place.

We managed to hook up and pay to the local wifi here but it sucks it's very slow so we will go ashore and try there soon, and they have no mobile service at all.

We have also been invited to a birthday celebrations on shore tonight, so we will go but I can't see us staying too long as we are so so tired.

Well tomorrow is another day.
