Day 18

252nm to go

Well last night was full of dramas, with the rough conditions I have been seasick again and throwing up with it, this is actually the fifth time I have thrown up this trip so not good.

And the engine died last night as well, there was a mad scramble by The Captain to lift floor boards and such to see what was going on, as you know we have no generator so we are relying on the engine to charge the batteries.
Lucky we were just out of fuel in one tank, but the problem was we had air in the pipes, so The Captain spent a good part of his watch drawing all the air out, it was a big job so he said, I blissfully slept through the whole lot....haha

Also we ran out of water again, neither of us can make out how, as we have been really careful, so The Captain has been trying to nurse the water maker the whole day, as it's so rough we keep getting air in these pipes as well.

We have actually had a string of things going wrong, last night the chart plotter started playing up and kept flashing and shutting down, and earlier in the afternoon the depth sounder stopped working.

This latest worried me big time and we fiddled with all the settings and it's finally working again I just hope it's still set at the right distance from the bottom of the boat.

And yeap it's rough again man we are getting thrown all over the place, it's just hopeless trying to sleep, but we are getting closer and closer, I can actually feel myself starting to unravel, it's been a tough one.

Well tomorrow is another day.
