Well we are still here again.
Today at 8.30am we go over to the yacht club and wait for a local guy here, The Captain ends up talking to him on the clubs phone and he says he will be here in 20mins.
An hour later he turns up, man we so need get get used to Mauritius time, they say ten it could mean 20, 30, 40 even sometimes over an hour.
Anyway this guy can help, he can send one of his men out in 20mins yeap here we go again.
We needed to get to an ATM and the directions 500yards up along the beach, yeah It was ages away but we finally found it, got the money we needed and headed back to the boat.
It was not long after we got the call to go get him at the Dock, he comes out and has the job done in less than 15 minutes, including putting putty in the holes and cleaning a thingy on the Bottom of the boat that helps with our depth sounder.
I guess having all the right gear on helps he had the full scuba outfit, which we have on here as well we just need to learn how to use it.
So next thing we need to get back to shore and find a bus stop into Port Louis to clear out.
The Coast Guard here says we can go there without our boat and clear out and leave from Grande Baie we were not at all sure about this but being pirates that we are we thought we would give it a go, we knew we would most likely have problems with the spear gun, so we were armed with a towel to wrap it in black plastic bags to wrap around that and Tape.
We get there all is going fine we see this guy he gives us back our spear gun we go to the next office they say has immigration stamped our passports we say no.
Well they ring them and they said they would be here in an hour, and to go wait on our boat.
We were so close to getting away with it. We explained that our boat is not here but in Grande Baie, and that customs over there said it was ok.
I sure wish I could understand French right at that moment, I'm sure we would have learned some new swear words....haha
Yeah it was a bit crazy for awhile everyone was yelling at each other from one office to the next, the main reason was the spear gun, they kept saying if we walk out with it we will be arrested.
In the end we had to hand it back and we will bring our boat back around in the morning and clear out again.
So we catch the bus back to. Grande Baie, and tomorrow hopefully we will finally get out of here.
