Sunday 7th December 2014
Today Elsie and Barry picked us up for a tour of Durban, and to show The Captain all the stuff that has been changed.
First off was a new development near the water front, we were faced with Zulu dancers as we arrived, of coarse it was just for the tourists but I really enjoyed it.
Then we wandered around looking at this and that. Until we came to a sort of theme park they had built a ship that looked like it was wreaked on rocks and the best they had an Aquarium, I have to say we spent hours here and it is the best Aquarium I have seen in the world, it really was great.
Next was they showed The Captain all his old haunts, and then we drove up to The Valley of a Thousand Hills.
Here we decided to have lunch and take in the view, it sure was great but the best was the monkeys, they come down and pinch food or anything they can get there hands on, I had such a great time watching these guys, they would sneak down grab some sachets of sugar but as soon as the waiter came off they would go and sit in the trees until the waiters left, then back they would come, it was so funny.
After lunch we wondered around the little huts looking at all their wares then off we went in hunt of some houses with thatched roofs, The Captain wanted to show me what they looked like.
Barry knew some friends that live in a game park housing estate, although they were not home they gave us the ok to have a look around, the outside.
Now I so want to live here, where in the world can you live and have Zebras, Wildebeest, Impala's, Blesbok, Springbok, walking around your back yard or front yard they also had a few giraffes but we could not find them., serious it was great.
There was another game park near by but this one was closed, so off we go in search of a supermarket, we do a bit of much needed grocery shopping and once again, are shocked at the price, the price is double in Australia.
We then went back to their house for awhile then onto dinner Where Elsie had arranged for yet some more of The Captains friends to join us.
Another great time was had, but I don't think I can eat for a week now...haha
Well tomorrow is another day.
