Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd january 2014
Well Friday was just a lazy day at home we just hung out doing the normal boring stuff, washing cooking you name it.
On Saturday we set off once again this time to a area called Buffelsrivier ( Buffalo River )
For us Aussies.
We meet up with friends of George and Heather's and went on what they call a House Boat.
What it really is, is something like a barge with a Braai, ( BBQ) there was about twelve of us plus the driver.
He took us up the river or actually it's really just a dam but huge, and then parked the barge under some cliffs, where some brave souls jumped in to have a swim.
The water here is almost black, although it's very clean the colour comes from either minerals or the tannin from the vegetation, we have noticed this a lot around the place,
But no way was I jumping in, it just looks dirty and you never know whats under it.
The skipper had a small boat as well and took us up, around the crevices in the mountains where we were told there was a waterfall, we were bumping the walls the whole time and when we made it to the waterfall it was just a man made one, I have to say, I was a bit disappointed as I was expecting a massive natural waterfall.
We then cooked up a huge lunch and just enjoyed the day and company. Once back on shore we had afternoon tea under some trees on a picnic table and once again ate man I so need some time out from food....haha
