Monday 5th, Tuesday 6th and Wednesday 7th January 2014

Well what a fantastic time we have had with John and Helen.

On Monday we did a tour of some local wineries, although it was raining, and we got wet a lot it still was nice.
The wineries around here are massive and stretch for hundreds of miles.

Tuesday we went for a drive after a lovely breakfast, and went down towards Cape Point, and than onto Chapmans Peak.
I still can't get over how much the scenery changes here in SA it's like every time you go around a corner it's different.
There are Baboon signs all over the place and John told us a story of when he was driving here one day he saw four man standing around their car on the side of the road and the car had four baboons sitting inside....haha

Serious these guys have got so clever, they can open car doors, and they get inside and trash the car looking for food, you have to just wait till they have had enough and leave the car.
Also even though they are always on the side or on the road you never see any dead ones, they are just way too cunning.
We also went to Simons Town Marina to have a look at where we may come in with the boat.

While we were there we caught up with Elizabeth on Andros but Roserio was off shopping, which was a shame, but man I so miss our boat life, I really do miss Wind Wanderer and the easy relaxed life we have on board.
Being on land is so crowed and we really don't like it that much, serious Africa is so over crowed it's crazy and its only going to get worse.

Talk about crowds, on Wednesday we set off by ourselves as we wanted to take the cable ride up Table Mountain.
Table Mountain is pretty much famous around here and when the clouds come over the top which is often, it looks like it has a table cloth on it.

So being such a nice day we took off, on the way we had to change our hire car as the battery was playing up, we ended up having to make two stops to get a better car, and yeap it was my fault as some of these little cars seats are so uncomfortable that I wanted one with better seats, The Captain was not so happy about this, but once we set off again I'm sure he will be a lot happier in comfort.

So we finally get to Table Mountain and the line up to go up is stretching right down the mountain side, we took one look at this lot and thought forget it, we are not going to be one of the herd lining up like the rest of the tourist.
We will be coming back with the boat so we will do that next time.

We then went on to find a nice place to have some lunch, again it was so overcrowded, but we did manage to find a cafe in one of the towns and had ourselves a nice meal.

There was a heap of other stuff we were going to do, but ended up going back to one of their biggest shopping centres, again way over crowded, but manage to get a few souvenirs and an engagement present so I was happy.

We are leaving tomorrow to make our way down to Joberg where we will fly home. We really have had a great time here and have enjoyed John and Helens company and have had some amazing meals at the local restaurants.

Well tomorrow is another day.
