I heard Milford was one of the most beautiful places on earth and you had to see it if you came to NZ. It didnt disappoint. Even though it`s only a few kms from Queenstown the bus drive is 5 hours by the time you`ve driven round the mountains. I took a 2 1/2 hour cruise along the fiord out to the tasman sea and back. This is one of the only places in the world i know when you hope it rains when you go. The more rain it gets the more waterfalls there are, and they look amazing.
Saw a few seals and a rare Fiordland Crested penguin, which im told is quite a special sight, but justed looked like a penguin to me? I was glad to hear that there was as much free tea as you can drink while on the boat, which helped get me through the day after a very early start.
