Sunday 9th January 2015

Yay we made it home, back to Aus for almost 5 weeks.
Bek and Ant met us at the Airport we had a teary greeting than headed home to their place, where we slept the sleep of the dead, man were we tired we had next to no sleep on the planes and in The Captains words the first flight was a 8 movie flight and the 2nd was a 5 movie flight we sure watched some movies.

We crammed so much into this trip back it was crazy, The Captains granddaughter Isabelle turned one and they put off her party till we got back.

Marian came up with the idea of us making a water melon pirate ship that you fill with fruit salad.
We took one look at this and thought you have to be kidding, she also changed her mind and said don't bother about it as it's just way too hard.

Well if you know me I'm never one to back down from a challenge, and man was it a challenge, it was a four man operation, with The Captain, Bek, Ant and myself all taking turns at it, when one got the huff and threw their hands in the air when it got way too hard the other stepped in to take over for awhile.
To all our surprise it turned out great, well we think so anyway and it was a big hit at the party.

The party went great Isabelle has sure grown since we last saw her,  they sure grow quick at that age, Georgie The Captains other grand daughter was there as well, although both of them being very shy of us at first, sure made up for it after awhile.
It was a great catch up for  The Captain with his kids as well, all in all it was a fantastic day.

The next biggy was my Daughter and Anthony's Engagement Party, this was huge with a lot of organising not without a few heated conversations with Mother and Daughter, but it all went off fantastic they had the party in their back yard and all the worry of rain, not a enough room to fit everyone in, not enough food or drink, ex family's seeing each other for the first time in like ten years and how they would react, it just turned out perfect and all had a great time.

Two days before the party Bek and Ant dropped a bomb shell on us.
They are having a baby!!!

Well I was in total shock mode, I just never expected it, my first reaction of course was tears I always cry, than sheer happiness, than the worry set in.

In about five seconds flat I went through a mental amount of emotions, but settled down to great excitement and worry.
I have had a lot of trouble with miscarriages and had passed the gene onto my kids, so I have been very anxious till she reached the 3 month mark, but that has all gone now and am happy to say she and bub are fine, well not quite Bek she is still terribly sick with morning sickness that goes on all day and night.
My heart goes out to her as I know exactly how she feels, the only good thing about it, is the old wives tale of the sicker you are the healthier the baby.

And I'm going to be a Grandma wow, I have to say I was never looking forward to being a Grandma, you know the age thing and all, but now it's happening for real, I can't wait for the next 6months to go by, it's just all so exciting.

The third big thing was my Dad's 80th birthday and we were throwing him a High Tea at my sisters place, for around 100 people, man did this take some organising.

We stayed at my parents farm for a week while I made a dvd, presentation and then stayed at my sisters place and we cooked like crazy, if I ever see another finger food again I think I may just scream and that goes for watermelons as well we ended up making a fruit salad 80th one for him as well, why I don't know I guess we were in watermelon mode or something.
The party was a huge success as well and Dad had a lovely time, which is all that matters, although at the time I was busting to tell someone about Bek and Ant but I was not allowed, which sucked, but I have sure made up for it now, to be honest I did let the secret out twice, but they all swore to keep it to themselves.

We also got in a short trip up to Meg and Russell's trout farm. I spend a few days with my best friend Lyn and had some lovely catch up time with her, The Captain got to spend time with his son Robin and we spent time with Marian Craig and Isabelle, The Captain spent more time there than me, but we did have some very special moments with Isabelle who has totally won our hearts, she is just so so cute.

I also spend some time with Maddy and stayed overnight and had some lovely Mum and Daughter time together and  got to see Tim several times who I might add broke his foot while I was home, I think he just wanted more sympathy from his mum, but I'm happy to say it is all mended now and I hope he stays away from 200kilo beams.

But all too soon it was time to say goodbye again, this one was a hard one to leave, we have spend such quality time with all the families and I'm going to miss them all big time,  I do have a promise from Bek to send regular tummy pics so I guess that's something.

Well tomorrow is another day.
