Still feeling pretty rough from the Fraser trip I got a bus back to brisbane then flew straight to Melbourne, as soon as I got to the hostel i was out like a light.
I had a wander round the next day and really liked it down by the docks and in the city centre. It`s a cool city but not as nice as Sydney. Both cities think they should be capital and there`s a bit of rivalry. In terms of a place to stay I much prefer Sydney and look forward to going back there.
Melbourne hosts a lot of sporting events and it was cool to see where some of these are held. I went to the Rod Laver Arena where the Ozzie Open tennis is held, and there are several other great stadiums all in the same area too. One of these is the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) where last night I watched the Socceroos vs Argentina. It was 1-0 to Argentina and the ozzies played really well, most of the locals were expecting to get thrashed but they played well.
Just wasting time in Melbourne now before another night bus thisevening, heading to Canberra.
