Tuesday 6th July 2015

We decided it was time to get out and about more, the weather has been good, so we decided to go for a drive, and yes that little car does have four wheels, although they are not much bigger than a bicycle wheel, but it does seem to drive ok, as long as you avoid the many pot holes, man you hit one of them and almost go airborne.

I've been wanting to beach hunt again, yeah I know I'm kinda pansy shell obsessed, actually any shells will do, but I so wanna find a pansy shell on the beach, I know I already have one thanks again Mark, but to walk along a beach and just pick one up would be magic.
We did have a lovely drive along the coast and found some good beaches, that we will go back too.

I did a bit of research on the net and someone had said that they found Pansy Shells on Fish Hoek beach.
Well that is only around the corner, so the following day I dragged The Captain there, although we walked the whole length of the beach and found some shells there was no pansy's in sight.
Now this walking of ours in something we are back into, as we both need the exercise, so what do we do when we finish our walk, have an ice cream of course...haha

It's a really nice beach front area and we enjoyed wandering around and taking in the sights.
But we needed to walk off that ice cream, so off we set one more time.

This time we drove to another beach at Scarborough where again we wandered the whole beach and still no luck, it was getting late in the day, so we decided to have a late lunch, yeap fish and chips this time, man we are never going to get fit...haha

We have a lot of birds around here and they all seem to roost right next to us on a floating pontoon, this pontoon settles the water a bit so the marina is not so rough, it does help a little.
The birds have been a never ending entertainment for us, there is a real pecking order heaven help if your the one in the wrong place, man they go crazy.
It was all fun and games until some of them decided they liked our boat better.
Well that ended real quick we were out there  hanging up old CD's everywhere.
I know it looks horrible but it sure is sparkly when the sun hits it....haha and it works no more birds.

The navy is also still entertaining us, the other day they were doing a helicopter rescue training, which we really enjoyed watching and then yesterday they were practicing with machine guns and canons.
This was also great till about the third time, we soon got sick of all the noise, especially when I tried to have a late afternoon nana nap.

Life is never dull around here.

Well tomorrow is another day.
