Following the success of the past eight years Xmas food projects, we are once again running the Mtomondoni Christmas gift appeal, giving you the chance to give Christmas gifts that can really make a difference. However, this year we are going for a more bespoke, family centred approach. This year the families are going to be actively involved in the spending of the money. Moses will this year take the family with him shopping so that they can have a say in the spending of the money. This way we hope that the families will feel more empowered.
The costs below give you a general guide to what they will be able to get for the money they are gifted.
This change has come about as a result of consulting with the sponsored families and we hope you agree that it is actually a good step forward.
So... If you would like to send a special Christmas gift to your family then simply drop us an email on gailyhammo@yahoo.co.uk and let us know how much you would like to send over to your family. You can either pay the money directly into the Mtwapa school account or send us a cheque made out for Mtwapa School Account. We will then send out the money to your family, using Moneygram at the post office, via Moses who will support them in spending the money on food supplies, mosquito nets etc
Moses will then post photos on the website so that you can see how your family have spent the money you have gifted them.
