Day 11

9.00pm

Position 16°48'S, 002°04'W

Well I've been slack and did not write anything this morning, I guess I was busy and just didn't get around to it.

At the moment we have very little wind and are doing about 2knts. We are rolling all over the place, I've been changing our course a lot but it's not doing real good.

Today has been a ho hum kinda day, I made bread this morning and cooked a few things but not much else.

It's been one of those days that we have just been trying to catch up on our sleep.

As you know I always take the first night watch, from around 8pm till anywhere between 12pm, to 2am, it always depends on how I'm feeling at the time.

Last night I stayed up till almost 3am and I guess that's why I've been so tired today.

The Captain takes over and I try and sleep, I usually wake up around 6 or 7am, than around 10am The Captain has a sleep, and wakes up around 2pm than its my turn and I usually sleep till about 5pm or so, then it all starts again.

So as you see we don't have much time to do much else, I cook, and clean, we read and watch movies and eat and sleep, that's about it.

We did have a little bit of excitement this morning, we saw our first tropical bird.

They are called a long tail, and that's what they have a very long tail...haha

We first saw this bird way back in Bermuda over three years ago, so it was kinda nice to see one. It means we are getting close to the tropics again.

Not that it feels like it, it's still very overcast and quite cool, I know I'll be complaining about the heat soon.

Well tomorrow is another day.
