St Helena Saturday 26th December 2015

Well another day on the boat, Boxing Day, was always a rest day back home, where you would catch up again with bits and pieces of family, eat all the left over Christmas food, even though you thought you would never eat again after Christmas Day and just chill and relax.

Not so much here, we still have a shocking ocean all around us, man it has rolled, We are so sick of this, but to add a difference to it, it's has slowly been changing, instead of rolling side to side, we are now kinda on a mental rocking horse.

We roll from side to side then front to back, than side to side, it's so much fun...not

A local guy onshore the other day, told us that this is what they call the rollers, we had noticed a warning on the chart plotter about these a few days before we got here and thank god they were not rolling when we were trying to hook up to the mooring.

He also said that they would only last a few days, he lied...haha

We had some excitement today a new yacht came in, this is always great excitement.

Dora ( who just said Dora the explorer?....haha) came in this morning, she is a big sloop not quite as big as ours but they had 5 people onboard, we radioed them as they were talking about taking their dingy to shore and advised against it.

They asked us how many people we have onboard and asked if we wanted some fresh Sword Fish, a young guy brings a huge amount over to us and came onboard for a nice chat, he just loved our boat and said this is the kind of boat he wants to get when he is older, I say young, he was most likely in his early 30's he made us feel really old...haha

We did not do much the rest of the day, as it was wait for it, raining on and off all day, Yeap you heard right, but just a pain in the butt rain not heavy enough to clean the salt off the boat, just light sprinkles.

But I did manage to oil some of the timber work outside when it cleared up towards the afternoon and get all the windows clean we can actually see out of them again.

Well tomorrow is another day.
