Well it's the same old same old, not much is different.
We have not seen anything only a few birds, these were big black ones I'm not sure what kind they are, but we had great entertainment watching them trying to catch flying fish.
Seriously they are hopeless, I don't think we saw them catch any at all.
Also I did some cooking today I made soft pretzels and homemade pizza, this is the first time I have made the base myself.
I found a recipe in one of the cookbooks we have on board and thought I would give it a go.
I usually do my cooking in the morning as I'm too tired in the afternoon. So after making the pretzels, I decided to make the dough for the base as well, that way I only had to just put the topping on at dinner time and it would be a lot easier.
The recipe says to not let it rise, well that should be no problem for me as my dough never rises real well.
So just in case I decided to wrap it in cling wrap, and put it in the fridge.
You need heat for dough to rise so I thought this would be the solution, a few hours later I went to the fridge and I nearly died, it had exploded out of the cling wrap and the whole top of the fridge was covered in dough, it looked very creepy, maybe I have been doing it wrong all along, it may just need cool air to rise...haha
I put it in the pan and yeah I did think about tossing it and twirling it in the air like you see on the movies, ( has anyone really seen this happen?) but after the first mess I did not fancy cleaning up another. I thought it would just sit there now after I squashed it all back down, well no way there was something really alive in this thing it just kept rising all day I had to keep flattening it all day long.
And how did it turn out, well I think I have made a big mistake, and The Captain will never buy take away pizza again.
It really was great if I do say so myself, but man it sure was an effort.
Well tomorrow is another day.
