Day 38 Passage to Trinidad Sunday 6th March 2016

Well all I can say is it's total madness out here, it's been crazy all day and still is.
We have massive seas, wave heights that I don't even want to work out how high, winds blowing in the 20's most of the time, a few squalls every now and than and just one hell of a lumpy ocean.
We have been hammered non stop, it's like being on a mental rocking horse, one minute your getting thrown from one side to the other and than the next minute back and forth.
All we can do is hold on tight it's so uncomfortable it's crazy.
We try not to move around too much in fear of getting hurt, we limit our time in the depths of this vessel as much as possible, as you just get thrown around in all directions.
Even going to the loo can be a death sentence, serious you hold on as long as you can but the time comes when you just have to brave it and go.
Talk about the time warp, you open the head door, ( the toilet door ) why they call it a head I have no idea another stupid nautical name.
So you open the door and the boat rocks and you get thrown in, you do a little fox trot until you finally get your balance, than the boat rocks the other way and you get thrown back out the door again, you take a deep breath brace yourself, you climb back in again holding on for grim death, go to pull your pants down and get thrown out the door again, all the while trying so hard not to pee as your really truly busting, finally you nail the toilet seat and hold on tight so you don't get thrown off mid pee.
And don't even get me started on how you get back out again, let's just say it's not pretty.
finally you make it back to the cockpit pale and shaking, and swearing that you are never going to drink another god damn thing all day.
Seriously it really is wearing us thin, this has been one tough voyage I tell you, I'll be so glad when it's over, we are still averaging 80nm a day so the count down is on, 11 days to go.
