Diary for Harry and Judy's RV Trip

Day 18-June 6, 2017-To Erie PA

Day 18-June 6, 2017-To Erie, PA

Poured again all night, stopped just enough to let us get on the road, the rain again all day.  Never made it to 60 degrees.

We’re leaving the Finger Lakes region and heading toward the Great Lakes region to Erie, PA.  At least the rain washed the mud from the tires but the truck is still really dirty.  We took route 13 to I-86 all the way into PA, then I-90 for about a half hour to Erie.  Nothing to see, just trees, trees and more trees.  A lot of miles between exits too and not much at the exits.  Stopped and got fuel at Sassy’s Truck stop where the diesel cost thirty cents less than surrounding stations.  Found out it was because we’re in the Allegheny Indian Nation Reservation so a lot of the taxes are excluded. Of course there was also a casino but we didn’t stop.  Started a book on tape which is pretty good so far.  Got to the campground and set up just in time for another cloudburst of heavy rain.  And it’s cold, going down to 40 again tonight.
