Day 32-August 6, 2017-Farmers Market and Peach Orchards

Nice again today, up to 90.  Feels really hot in the sun.

Every Sunday there is a Farmers Market in Downtown Palisade from 9-1.  Nice array of different crafts, lots of wooden bowls, lavender, peaches and produce.  Horse and buggy rides, ice cream, free samples, etc., etc., etc.  All of Main St. and most of two side streets, it’s quite a big market.  We strolled through then went back to where we bought peaches yesterday.  They were much cheaper and looked better.  We then drove through the outskirts and found orchards, cherries (which are gone now), peaches (just about all gone) and pears (not quite ready yet).  Back toward the campground we stopped for some groceries and gas, getting ready to leave tomorrow.  We have to get really creative about how to arrange the freezer because I want to put most of the peaches that we bought in there for pies when we get home.  Spent the rest of the afternoon lazing around the campground and trying to finish the book I just can’t seem to finish.
