Focaccia Bread - It Is One Of The Staples Of Northern Italian Cuisine

2017-10-06

Fancy cooking techniques and well-honed culinary skills are great, but you can still make some of the most delicious (and economical) meals with nothing but a skillet and a crock-pot. Here is one of my favorite slow-cooker recipes: pork shoulder tacos. Make some authentic Mexican food right in your own home with this cheap, easy, and unbelievably delicious recipe! The menu to Focacceria is small yet packed with flavor. They have signature sandwiches for under ten dollars. They come standard with a mixed green salad topped with a house vinaigrette dressing that is extra delicious. My favorite is the honey roasted turkey, caramelized onions, fontina cheese on focaccia bread that sells for $9.50. It is big enough to fill you up or save half for your subway ride home. Another spectacular treat is the wild mushroom ravioli. It is on the special side of the menu and a must try for ravioli lovers everywhere. The ravioli is home made to order and extremely large. It is topped with a truffle cream sauce that will leave your taste buds dazzled and wanting more. It is a very hardy dish that sells for about $13.50.The service at Kolohe's is somewhat slow cooker focaccia. But keep in mind, you're in Hawaii, and that means you're on aloha time now. No worries, no hurries. Besides, who is really in a rush to leave Kolohe's? Unless you are allergic to the sun, you could easily sit here all day. But please don't - I may very well be at the bar, waiting for your table. You can also enhance your main dish utilizing numerous tasty side dishes. How does Corn on the Cob in Garlic Herb Butter sound? Or maybe you would like to try some Slow-Roasted Potatoes or a fantastic Potato Casserole. There are a lot of options to add a unique touch to any dish.Serve healthy pizza. Pizza doesn't have to be greasy and oozing with sauce. Have a couple of premade pizza doughs (such as Boboli) on hand and experiment with healthy toppings that cater to your family's individual tastes. We love to have Mexican Pizza, for example, layered with refried or black beans, then salsa, onions, olives and a bit of cheese. It cooks in less than 10 minutes. Another idea we use a lot: purchase a plain frozen cheese pizza and let the kids pile on their own healthy toppings.Corner Bakery offers great options with salads, soups, sandwiches and a lot of great desserts. Choose from some of their great salads like Pasta Caprese or Asian Edamame. Their Garden Vegetable Penne with Marinara is a great pasta option. With the cold weather outside, you might want to order some of their Corner Soups (serves 6) like the Three Lentil Vegetable or the Roasted Tomato Basil that are served with slow cooker focaccia Bread. Their catering orders are provided with plates and utensils, etc. You can also choose to have it delivered or you can pick the order up. Best feature? You can order your catering online! It is really amazingly simple to prepare all of the old family specialties ranging from Barbecue beef sandwiches, slow cooker beef stew or even that timeless slow cooker pulled pork. One can find hundreds of simple crock pot dishes to try. You'll be able to be as innovative as you want. If you're entertaining guests you can get a much more innovative with mouth-watering selections such as Warm Blue Crab Bruschetta or Wild Mushroom Stew. You'll find it all rather easy using your slow cooker. The bakery is highly kid-friendly, with a special corner for the little ones. The owners, Tracy and Mike Vanzura, host a children's story time at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesdays. Grandparents will enjoy the complimentary coffee and warm bread. The children receive a snack after the 20- to 30-minute story time. Best of all, children can peek over the counter and watch the bread being made.Service was good. Our waitress was friendly but not overly so and attentive without hovering. Our only complaint was that the gap between focaccia bread eat with and entrees was a little long, but our wine glasses were kept full and we had a nice chat, so we didn't mind. (I'm guessing this would be a bigger deal on a (bad) first date. On a "we've been married for four years" Tuesday night, not so big.) Oh, and our table was right next to a server station, and the station's drawer repeatedly popped out and hit Cooper's chair. Not so frequently that it was terribly annoying, but not infrequently, either.
